After the stop it was on to the dam for a group photo. The ride concluded once all riders had returned to Fort Gordon.
The Freedom Ride was the clubs first motorcycle event and was held on 13 July 2006. The event started with the registration point at Freedom Park on Fort Gordon. We had all kinds of help with the registration, including support from the Military Police.
We were very fortunate to have the services of the installation Safety Officer, Mr. Russ Blandin, who took the time to do a safety check on each and every bike that participated in the event.
After a few words from BG Keen, it was off on the ride. The route used was the same basic route as that used during the First Ride.
And again on the Freedom Ride, we stopped for a group shot. The ride concluded with a BBQ at Freedom Park with some 64 bikes participating in this event.

Freedom Ryderz held a Car and Bike Wash from 10am to 3 pm, adjacent to the Huddle House on Fort Gordon. A number of ryderz came out to support the club and to help raise money to purchase the new patches for our club colors. A special thanks to all that participated in supporting the organization. The group was blessed with beautiful weather and a bunch of nice folks that stopped to have their vehicles washed and make a donation to the cause. This effort was successful in raising approximately $300.00, and was the first fund-raising activity sponsored by the club.
Our club photographer, Mark Jackson was busy both washing vehicles and taking pictures. He managed to captured a number of shots of the group in action during the car wash.
Members of the Freedom Ryderz participated in the Fort Gordon celebration of Oktoberfest to initiate the club membership drive. A number of members
participated in the event.
